Search for a superintendent

Gathered at NKMS, 15 members of the community discussed finding a new KSD superintendent with representatives from Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA), an executive search firm hired by the district to help find candidates for the next superintendent Tuesday, Feb. 2.
The meeting was the second open community forum and the final of 26 meetings with the members of HYA and community members where they discussed what they wanted and needed from a new superintendent.
At the meeting, attendees talked about the strengths and weaknesses of KSD and attributes they hoped to see in the new superintendent. The members of HYA have also created a survey to evaluate needs of the community that can be found on the KSD website. After compiling the results of the survey and meetings into a report, the members of HYA plan on presenting the report to the KSD School Board Feb. 26.
