The Coalition Club sponsored by Amy Barker, English teacher, hosted their first personal safety class April 12. The Coalition supports change within KHS, our community and the world in order to achieve equality for all genders through debate, educational and volunteer opportunities. The next upcoming session will be on April 26 at 3:15 p.m. in the KHS wrestling room. Led by Dr. Ann Sereko, personal safety instructor, this class is free and open to any student wanting to attend, although it is encouraged to bring a donation for The Women’s Safe House. According to Ali Randazzo, co-founder, many of the members expressed interest in wanting to learn self-defense, so this event was coordinated to help other students learn personal safety.
