TKC went around the school asking students and teachers if they knew the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. Out of the eight teachers and students interviewed, Lucas Ravenscraft, social studies teacher, was the only person who could name all five. The five rights are freedom of speech, religion, assembly, press, and to petition. KHS students are universally taught this in their freshman civics class, yet none were able to recall this information when asked on the spot.
