This editorial cartoon is titled, “You’re being watched,” and it is based off of the new laptops. The school has banned many websites, and it feels almost as if they are monitoring our every move. “I wanted to make the cartoon more dramatic than necessary, so I added eyes in the background for a Big Brother vibe,” Maggie Burton, artist, said. “In addition, the glow of the computer casts an ominous shadow that creates a tense atmosphere. This portion of the art was by far the most difficult part of this process. I had to look up a reference image to make my piece look more lifelike and realistic. But the effort was worth it, as I believe the final picture meets the expectations I had for this project.”
