Single or taken, everyone loves Valentine’s Day treats. TKC made two goodies to make for this holiday, for two or just one.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Ingredients:

  • 1 container of sizeable strawberries
  • 1 24 oz. bag of milk chocolate almond bark
  • 1 10 oz. bag of Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers

Directions:

  1. Set the smallest burner on the stove to the simmer or low setting.
  2. Put a small amount of chocolate (about a handful) into a small saucepan, and place on top of the burner.
  3. Use a wooden spoon to stir the chocolate. As the chocolate bark begins to melt, add more chocolate bark. Repeat this step until you have the desired amount of chocolate melted.
  4. Line a cookie sheet with a piece of wax paper.
  5. Dip the strawberries into the chocolate and line them on the cookie sheet.
  6. Place strawberries into the freezer for 30 minutes to harden the chocolate.
  7. Once the chocolate has dried onto the strawberries, take them out of the freezer.
  8. Place 10 to 15 white chocolate melting wafers into a small microwavable bowl.
  9. Place the bowl into the microwave for 90 seconds, and then stir the contents with a metal spoon.
  10. Use the spoon to lightly drizzle the melted white chocolate over the already chocolate-covered strawberries. For best results, tap excess white chocolate into the bowl before drizzling.
  11. Place the strawberries into the freezer for another 20 minutes to allow white chocolate to solidify.
  12. Enjoy!

 

Chocolate Pretzel Snaps

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of regular pretzels
  • 1 bag of Rolos
  • 1 bag of Hershey Kisses
  • 1 11 oz. bag of M&M’S Valentine’s Milk Chocolate Candy

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper to make for easier clean-up.
  3. Set the pretzels on the cookie sheet in rows.
  4. Unwrap the Rolos and Hershey Kisses.
  5. Place the Rolos and the Kisses on the pretzels.
  6. Set the tray into the oven for one minute.
  7. After one minute has passed, quickly place one M&M on top of the melted chocolate candies. Press down gently to blend the chocolate and the M&M together.
  8. Set in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  9. Enjoy!
