Help from our peers: Lindsay Huck and Zac Day

The Kirkwood Call asked freshman couple Zac Day and Lindsay Huck, who have dated for about a year, what they think a relationship means.

The Kirkwood Call: Why do you think people want to be in a relationship<a
Zac Day: “I look for someone to always be there for me and someone I can have a good time with [who’s] not just a friend.”

Lindsay Huck: “I think people want to be in a relationship to get to know different types of people and dating other people is a good way to find out more about yourself as well as others.”

TKC: What do you think a relationship provides someone?

LH: “It’s a constant person that you can count on to [give you] support and you can always trust them with your secrets.”

ZD: “A good person to talk to and hang out with that you can always spend your time with.”

TKC: If you could describe having a relationship in a few words what would they be?

LH: “ A good learning experience.”

ZD: “A good learning experience because we have both helped each other through a lot.”

TKC: Why are you in a relationship?

ZD: “I’ve been friends with Lindsay for such a long time and we’ve grown so close to each other and [a relationship] happened.”

LH: “I’m in a relationship because I like Zac, and I think it’s fun to be with him because he’s a really fun person.”
