The Arsonists preview

Abby Geisz, technical web editor

Taking eight weeks to produce, The Arsonists, a play put on by around 30 KHS students, is a comedy about a town that is regularly attacked by arsonists. It was originally written as a reaction to Germany invading others countries in World War II, while countries who were not directly involved sat back and did nothing to help. It will be in the Blackbox Theater Jan. 25-27 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $9 for students and $11 for adults. The show is expected to be sold out due to the smaller theatre, so plan on arriving early or buy them online.

“The style of the play is a dramatic comedy,” Marissa Young, senior, said. “So we are really hoping to have an audience that is laughing with us and gets a lot of our jokes, but then also feels kind of uncomfortable because it is really dramatic with dark undertones to it. It’s a different play than we usually do, so I’m really excited to see how it plays out.”
