Photo gallery: girls’ and boys’ cross country meet 9/13
Kirkwood girls and boys had a meet at Parkway Central High School, Sept. 13. The boys dominated winning first place for their freshman, JV and varsity levels. This was an important race for the boys, because it determined the top 14 runners on their team that would run the following week at the Chili Pepper meet in Arkansas. The varsity girls placed 3rd and the JV team earned 1st place. “I started off with the top of the pack, and at the one mile mark I felt good so I started pushing and got up front,” Keelan McPheters, junior, said. “It feels good. I felt like I gave it my all today.”
