The Kirkwood Varsity girls tennis team played in a match against Lafayette Sept. 9. Grace Runge, senior, said they’ve had a challenging season, but have grown closer as a team because of it.
“We’ve played some tough schools [this season] but we’ve also had some team victories, which is always fun,” Runge said. “Tennis is hard in that when you’re on the court it’s just you out there, so when you see your teammates being hard on themselves, it’s really important that people recognize that and cheer you on.”
