Photo gallery: girls’ and boys’ cross country meet Sept. 29
Kirkwood cross country had a meet at Living Word Church for the Parkway West Dale Shepard Invite, Saturday Sept. 29. Junior-senior and varsity girls’ placed 4th as a team and the freshman-sophomores came in 8th. Ally Gooden, junior, ran the varsity race finishing with a time of 21:55. “[During the race I felt] very tired and I have been kind of feeling that lately,” Gooden said. “I kept with the pace that I knew I was supposed to do. I saw Mary Ralston, [senior] and knew I had to catch up with her, so we could run together. I continued to push myself because I wanted to run with my team.”
