Photo Gallery: girls’ varsity basketball game vs. Westminster High School Dec. 9th
The Kirkwood girls’ varsity basketball team had their first home game of the season against Westminster on Mon., Dec. 9th. Westminster began the game with a tight lead, but quickly lost it after halftime as Kirkwood won 53-41. During the game, Natalie Bruns, senior, scored her 1,000th career point and broke the school record for number of blocks, currently holding the title at 284 blocks.
“I’m so proud of [Natalie], she’s been working hard for four years and it’s so good to see her accomplish something she’s been after,” Kate Jozwiakowski, senior, said. “Natalie’s a leader on the court, she always makes sure everyone is trying their best and pushes us to work hard.”
