Police Beat: 9/23-9/29
On Wednesday, 09-25-2013, detectives arrested an adult from St Louis for felony
stealing. The original case was reported in June of 2013 by a resident in the
1000 block of North Taylor. The resident reported having over $5000 withdrawn
from his bank account since November 2012. The case was referred to the St
Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.
On Friday, September 27, 2013, at 7:56 a.m. police responded to the 900 block
of Carriage Circle for a stolen vehicle report. A 2006 Chevy Impala was taken
sometime during the night. Several other vehicles on the lot also had damage
and entry was made to those vehicles, however nothing was taken.
On Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2:39 p.m. police responded to the 100 block
of East Jefferson for a report of found property. A ring with clear stones was
located and turned into the police department. The ring is being held at the police
department awaiting owner.
On Friday, September 27, 2013 at 10:46 p.m. in the 9000 block of Big Bend
in Oakland officers noticed an adult on the parking lot that appeared to be
under the influence of narcotics or alcohol. It was determined the suspect was
in possession of a vehicle that was reported stolen from St Louis County. The
subject was arrested and charged with tampering. The case was referred to the
St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.
Kirkwood Police arrested three adults for shoplifting merchandise from area
businesses during the week of Monday, 09-23-2013, through Sunday, 09-29-
2013. The incidents occurred at a retail stores in the 1000 and 1200 block of
South Kirkwood Road and 10400 Manchester. The subjects were charged with
stealing which were referred to municipal court.
