Police Beat: 1/20-1/26
On Tuesday, January, 21, 2014, police responded to the 900 block of Ohlman
Avenue for a stolen auto report. The victim reported he left his 2013 dark blue
Dodge Avenger with Kentucky license plates running and went back into the
residence. When he returned outside the vehicle was gone.
On Wednesday, January 22, 2014, police took a report of a larceny from a vehicle
which occurred in the 400 block of South Holmes Avenue. The victim stated a
backpack containing a handgun and cash was stolen from the vehicle.
On Sunday, January 26, 2014, police responded to a business in the 500 block of
South Kirkwood Road for a theft report. The reporting party laid her cell phone
down and went elsewhere inside the business. When she realized she did not
have the phone she returned to where she left it but the phone was gone.
On Sunday, January 26, 2014, officers were dispatched to a business in the
200 block of South Kirkwood Road for a report of a burglary that just occurred.
Damage was found at the rear door of the business. Numerous items had been
stolen from the business.
Kirkwood Police arrested one adult for shoplifting merchandise from an area
business during the week of Monday, 01-20-2014, through Sunday, 02-02-2014.
The incident occurred at a retail store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.
The case was referred to municipal court.
