Police Beat: 10/6-10/12
On Tuesday, October 7, 2014 police took an attempt burglary report from a
residence in the 900 block of Ohlman. The residence front door had damage with
a broken window. There was no entry into the residence.
On Thursday, October 9, 2014 police responded to the 9000 block of Big Bend
in Oakland for a larceny report. A case of beer was taken from a delivery truck
while parked on the parking lot.
On Thursday, October 9, 2014 police took a burglary report from the 300 block of
Attucks. A laptop and a gaming console were taken from the residence.
On Friday, October 10, 2014 police responded for a two destruction of property
reports in the 300 block of Alsobrook. A residence window had damage from a
pellet gun. Another resident’s car window was damaged by a pellet gun.
Kirkwood Police arrested two adults for shoplifting merchandise from a business
located in the 1200 blocks of South Kirkwood during the week of Monday, 10-06-
2014, through Sunday, 10-12-2014. One of the suspects was charged with felony
stealing. That case was forwarded to the St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s
Office for review. The other case was referred to municipal court.
On Sunday, October 12, 2014 Kirkwood Police responded to the areas of Club
and Par Lane where 2 homes and a vehicle were egged and covered with silly
string. There was not any permanent damage to the property.
On Sunday, October 12, 2014 Kirkwood Police responded to the 300 Block of New
York Street where a house and vehicle were shot with a paintball gun. There was
no permanent damage to any property.
