On Monday, February 2, 2015, police responded to the 2000 block of Meadowtree for a report of identity theft. The victim reported his credit card was cloned and used at a store in Manchester, MO.
On Tuesday, 02-03-2015, detectives arrested a Kirkwood resident responsible for stealing and forging personal checks at an area bank.  The case was referred to the St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.  Michael Mistretta, 29 years of age, of the 600 block of West Adams, was charged with nine counts of forgery.  He was transferred to the St Louis County Jail and held on $20,000 cash only bond.  He also had an outstanding parole violation warrant through the State of Missouri Department of Corrections.
On Thursday, February 5, 2015, police took a larceny from a vehicle report in the 200 block of Altus. The victim had a tablet and keyboard removed from the vehicle. Several other vehicles in the immediate area were also tampered with.

Additional vehicle break-in reports were taken from victim’s the 300 block of Frieda where a wallet was stolen and the 300 block of Couch where sunglasses and loose change were stolen.
On Thursday February 5, 2015, officers received a report of a larceny that occurred in the 10200 block of Manchester. The victim had credit cards and cash stolen from her purse while at a table in a local restaurant.
On Friday, February 6, 2015 police received a report of a vehicle crash in the area of Adams and Rifle Range Road. The vehicle left the roadway and became wedged on its side between two trees. The driver, who was not injured, was charged with driving while intoxicated. The case will be referred to municipal court.
On Saturday, February 7, 2015, officers were dispatched to the 1700 block and 2200 blocks of Marshall Road for two separate thefts from vehicles. The front windows were smashed on each vehicle.  A cellphone from the center console of one vehicle was stolen and a purse located in the front seat of another vehicle was stolen.
On Sunday, February 8, 2015, police took a larceny from a vehicle report in the 800 block of Brookcreek. The victim’s wallet, which was on the laying on the front passenger seat of the unlocked vehicle, had been stolen overnight.
Kirkwood Police arrested three adults for shoplifting merchandise from a Kirkwood area business during the week of Monday, 2-2-2015, through Sunday, 2-8-2015. The incidents occurred at a retail store located in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. One case was referred to St Louis County Prosecutor’s Office as a felony due to the suspect having at least two prior convictions for stealing. The other cases were referred to Municipal Court.
