Police Beat: 3/2-3/8

On Monday, March 2, 2015, police responded to a destruction of property report in the 600 block of North Clay. An unknown vehicle drove off the roadway and into the yard of the residence. Yards at home in the 100 block of West Jewel were also damaged.

 

On Monday, March 2, 2015, police made an arrest in the 12100 block of Old Big Bend. The suspect was charged with fraudulently attempting to obtain a prescription.

 

On Monday, March 2, 2015, police responded to the 400 block of Rollingwood for an identity theft report. The residence received a credit card in her name which she did not request.

 

On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, an identity theft report was taken from a victim in the 400 block of Greenleaf. There were several unauthorized purchases with a cloned credit card on behalf of the victim’s account.

 

On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, officers were dispatched to a larceny from a vehicle in the 1000 block of South Kirkwood Road. The rear window of the vehicle was broken and a gym bag containing clothes were stolen from the vehicle. Other windows were also damaged.

 

On Thursday, March 5, 2015, Kirkwood Police were notified that officers from the Maryland Heights Police Department had located a stolen vehicle from Kirkwood at Hollywood Casino.  The vehicle was originally stolen from Kirkwood on 01-30-2014. Officers arrested an adult male who attempted to drive the vehicle from the area. The case was presented to the St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where a charge of stealing a motor vehicle was issued on Morris (Maurice) Raspberry, 26 years of age, from the 16600 block of Bon Oak Drive in Dellwood, MO.  Raspberry was transferred to the St Louis County Jail and held $30,000 cash only bond.

 

On Thursday, March 5, 2015, police responded to a report of destruction of property in the 10900 block of Big Bend. A front window to the residence was damaged by several BB pellets.

 

On Sunday, 03-08-2015, police stopped a motorist for a traffic violation in the 800 block of South Kirkwood Road. The adult driver was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested. The case was referred to municipal court.

 

On Sunday, March 8, 2015, a larceny from a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of East Madison. The car window was shattered and the car stereo was removed from the dash of the vehicle.
