Police Beat: 3/30-4/5

On Monday, 03-30-2015, at 1:14 p.m. police were dispatched to a business in the 400 block of East Clinton for a report of destruction of property.  The business owner reported a window broken out of a company vehicle.  Nothing was stolen from the vehicle.

 

On Monday, 03-30-2015, at 1:25 p.m. officers were summoned to residence in the 500 block of Coulter for a theft report.  Jewelry was reported stolen from the home.

 

On Tuesday, 03-31-2015, at 9:34 p.m. police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involved a motor cycle near the intersection of Couch and Lark.  The motorcycle ran off the roadway, striking a curb, and ejecting the driver.  The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.  The driver was also cited for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

 

On Friday, 04-03-2015, at 2:38 p.m. police responded to a residential alarm sounding at a residence in the 100 block of North Ballas.  Officers arrived and found a clay pot was thrown through a door glass.  It was later learned that nothing was found to be missing from the home.

 

On Sunday, 04-05-2015, at 11:3 p.m. officers were summoned to a residence on Heatherbrook for a residential burglary. A burglar entered the home through a rear window and stole cash and jewelry.  No one was at home at the time of the theft.

 

Kirkwood Police arrested four adults for shoplifting merchandise from two area businesses from Monday, 03-30-2015, through Sunday, 04-05-2015.  Arrests were made at businesses in the 1000 and 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.  All cases were referred to municipal court.
