Police Beat: 4/6-4/12

On Tuesday, April 7, 2015 police took a stealing report in the 400 block of South Kirkwood Road. The victim was contacted by phone from a subject claiming to be with Microsoft and the subject told the victim he would clear the computer of viruses.  A credit card number was given to the subject over the phone and subsequent charges were made to the card.

 

On Thursday, 04-09-2015 police took a report of an identity theft from a victim residing in the 900 block of Dickson. The victim’s personal information was used to open a credit card in Florida.

 

On Thursday, 04-09-2015, police responded for a vehicle crash involving a vehicle that had gone off the road striking the bluff wall on southbound I-270 south of Marshall Road. The driver of the vehicle was charged with possession of controlled substance, resisting arrest, driving under the influence of alcohol and assault on an officer. The case was referred to St Louis County prosecutor’s office.

 

On Thursday, 04-09-2015, police were summoned to the 11220 block of Manchester Road for a report of a theft of tires from a business.  As officers responded to the area the suspect vehicle was located in the 100 block of North Kirkwood Road.  Both the driver and passenger in the vehicle were arrested without incident.  The stolen tires were recovered and returned to the business.  The case was referred to the St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office for review.

 

On Saturday, 4-11-2015 police received a report of a driver possibly passed out in a vehicle on a parking lot in the 800 block of South Holmes in Oakland. The driver of the vehicle was not injured but was intoxicated and arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The case was referred to municipal court.

 

On Sunday, 04-12-2015, at 10:44 p.m. officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2400 block of St Giles Road for a residential burglary.    Detectives are investigating.

 

Kirkwood Police arrested one adult for shoplifting merchandise from an area business from Monday, 04-06-2015, through Sunday, 04-12-2015.  The business is the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.  The case was referred to municipal court.
