Police Beat: 9/7-9/13

On Monday, September 7, 2015, police responded to the 1000 block of South Kirkwood Road for a larceny. A wallet was stolen after it was left unattended in a shopping cart.

 

On Monday, September 7, 2015, police were called to the 100 block of East Madison for a possible intoxicated driver. The driver was located at the intersection of Taylor and Madison. The driver was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. The case was referred to Municipal Court.

 

On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, police recovered a bicycle left abandoned in the 100 block of West Argonne. Police were also summoned to the area of South Fillmore and Reardon for another found bicycle just a few hours later. Both bicycles were brought to the station awaiting the owner.

 

On Wednesday, September 8, 2015, officers responded to the 1100 block of South Glenwood for a theft report. A rear window had been broken out to a vehicle and the in-dash stereo unit and speaker box were stolen from the vehicle.

 

On Wednesday, September 9, 2015, police responded to the 400 block of West Jefferson for a larceny of a bicycle. The bicycle was removed and stolen from the carport sometime overnight.

 

On Thursday, September 10, 2015, police were dispatched to the 900 block of South Kirkwood Road for a property damage report. A garage door window had been broken with what appeared to be a rock from the business landscaping.

 

On Friday, September 11, 2015, police responded to the 500 block of Pamela for a burglary report. Entry had been gained to the attached garage and a briefcase and wallet were removed from the vehicle parked inside the garage.

On Friday, September 11, 2015, a resident from the 600 block of Beethoven reported theft to police. Sunglasses and CD’s were removed and stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.

 

On Saturday, September 12, 2015, police were called for an abandoned bicycle left in the area of Holmes and Melshire in Oakland. The bicycle was brought to the station awaiting the owner.

 

On Sunday, September 13, 2015, police responded to the 12800 block of Big Bend for a burglary. The resident reported 2 handguns, a rifle, laptop computer, and a coin collection stolen from the residence. The items were last seen several weeks prior.

 

Kirkwood Police arrested three adults for shoplifting merchandise from a Kirkwood area business located in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road during the week of Monday, 9-7-2015, through Sunday, 9-13-2015. One case was referred to the St Louis County Prosecutors office as a felony. The other cases were referred to Municipal Court.
