Des Peres Police Department

 

On Wednesday, October 3, 2018, a dump truck on Topping Ln got stuck on the side of the road and caused $10,000-20,000 in property damage.

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, stealing from West County Center involving a resisting arrest by fleeing, use of force (pepper spray), and an assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. Suspect transferred to St Louis County Intake in reference to a Probation Violation.

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, suspect assaulted an LEO, suspect forced door closed striking officers. Released on summons.

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, police responded to West County Center after St. Louis County officer dropped a subject who claimed to be hit by a bus in St. Louis City off at the bus stop at West County Mall. Subject wanted a ride home to Cape Girardeau but accepted a ride to the bus transfer station at Highway 40 and Ballas where he would catch a ride to a family member’s house in St. Louis City.

On Sunday, October 7, 2018, victim’s window smashed and purse stolen on the 2500 block of Dougherty Ferry Rd.

 

Glendale Police Department

 

On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, a resident of the 800 block of Queen Anne Place reported receiving a suspicious email offer for him to be a “secret shopper” and the company also sent him two checks to be cashed for his services. Officers advised the resident this is a known scam and not to cash the checks.

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, a resident of the 400 block of Parkland Avenue reported the discharging of fireworks in the area. Officers located the responsible party in the 900 block of Moreland Avenue and advised them to cease.

On Sunday, October 7, 2018, officers discovered a large amount of toilet paper was thrown into the trees and lawn of a residence in the 200 block of Edwin Avenue sometime during the night. No damage was observed.

 

Kirkwood Police Department

 

On Friday, October 5, 2018, a business in the 10200 block of Manchester Road reported the passing of two counterfeit $20.00 bills. The bills were reportedly passed between the hours of 11 am and 5 pm on October 4.

On Friday, October 5, 2018, an officer investigated an occupied, parked vehicle in the area of West Jewel and Evans. Three juveniles were charged with curfew violations and one was charged with possession of marijuana.

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, a resident in the 11700 block of Big Bend reported the theft of their grandson’s blue and black GT Mountain bicycle. The bicycle was stolen off of the front porch between 11 pm and 6 am.  

During the week of October 1 through October 7, four shoplifting cases were reported and investigated from businesses in the 1000-1200 block of South Kirkwood Road.

During the week of October 1 through October 7, along with regular calls for service and traffic enforcement, the Kirkwood Police Department responded to 22 residential/business alarms, 22 motor vehicle accidents and assisted the Fire/EMS Department on 55 calls.
