The Kirkwood Police Department will hold its annual pancake supper 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 in the KHS cafeteria. Unlimited pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, milk and applesauce will be served for a minimum $4 donation to the Kirkwood Police Benevolent Fund. According to Bob Johler, school resource officer, the fund is used to send officers to training courses, provide floral arrangements for officers’ families and help with any fees related to sporting event fundraisers an officer would be involved in while representing the Kirkwood Police Department.
“[The supper] gives us a chance to work together for this good cause,” Johler said. “It’s a good time. It’s enjoyable cooking the eggs, pancakes and sausage, and it’s great to work with the community.”
