KHS will be holding an interfaith service to celebrate the graduation of the class of 2017 Friday, May 12. The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. in the Keating Theater and replaces the former Baccalaureate.

The ceremony is intended to be inclusive to diverse faiths, with a message of religious unity for all. The ceremony will include Jewish, Christian and Islamic readings and messages. Student leaders Celia Rose, Ben Cohen, Nabeel Syed, Molly Hooks and Clare Huber will lead readings and prayers, while religious leaders Rev. Renee T. Johnson, Rev. Kanerva, Iman Dawud al-Amin and Jewish educator Maggie Duwe will deliver messages.

There will be a performance by the A Capella Concert Choir who will lead a choral benediction. Dr. Gavin, principal, will end the ceremony with a send-off speech.
