Gelato comes to Kirkwood
Check out Gelato Di Riso for a taste of Italy without having to spend $2,000 and travel 5,000 miles. They sell not only gelato, but scones, cannoli, biscotti, coffee and more. TKC tried the delicious, classic flavors of Chocolate Chip and Raspberry, but also their more unique flavors of Biscotti Nut Crunch, my personal favorite, and Pumpkin. Megan Marcallini, manager at Gelato Di Riso, recommends the Tiramisu and Mascarpone Cherry flavors. Gelato Di Riso’s prices are also very reasonable, mostly ranging from $3 to $7, making it a sweet deal.
“We’ve got amazing gelato,” Marcallini said. “We make daily fresh at our Hill location and all of our pastes and bases come straight from Italy. The machine is even from Italy, so we try to be really authentic.”
