Cranberry orange cider

Recipe by @persnicketyplates on Pinterest

Fall would not be complete without a warm glass of apple cider. After a cold day, a nice cup of cider is the best; but what would be better is adding other seasonal fruits to the mix. The next time you find yourself trying to get warm after being out in the chilly weather, make yourself a cup of cranberry orange cider.

Ingredients:

2 cups cranberry-apple juice

1 cup orange juice

1 cinnamon stick

2 orange slices

1 tablespoon honey

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan over medium high heat, add cranberry-apple juice, orange juice, a cinnamon stick and orange slices.
  2. Once the mixture comes to a boil, cover the top of the saucepan. Reduce the heat and let simmer for about five minutes.
  3. Remove the orange slices and cinnamon stick. Begin to stir in honey.
  4. Pour into a mug, adding more cinnamon sticks and orange slices if desired.
