Signing and sharing petitions

One simple way to make change is by signing and sharing online petitions related to the BLM movement. It is a small step that has had success before, such as helping to get the officers involved in the murder of George Floyd charged and helping with the passing of the Georgia Hate Crime Bill in honor of Ahmaud Arbery, who was murdered while jogging in his neighborhood. Mainstream petition websites, such as change.org, as great places to sign petitions, but donating to these websites may not be recommended as some are for-profit groups. Here are some relevant petitions to sign and where you can find them: Breonna Taylor – justiceforbreonna.org, Justice for Casey Goodson at petitions.whitehouse.gov and police de-escalation training at Change.Org. Petitions relating to BLM generally either deal with justice for victims of police brutality or petitions for laws to be changed. Reading and then signing petitions is an easy way to educate yourself and make a difference.
