Hocus Pocus – I can’t compile a fall movie list without including at least one Halloween movie, and the best one is Hocus Pocus. This 1993 witch movie set in Salem, Massachusetts is exactly what you want in a Halloween movie. While it may not be ‘The Conjuring’ scary, or even scary at all, it’s a fun movie with an exemplary fall setting. The film starts during the Salem Witch Trials with the execution of three sisters who are witches. Fast forward three centuries to present day 1993. You watch a cat, a boy, his little sister and his crush. The witches come back after being dead for centuries, and the witches try to hunt the kids to get what is “rightfully” theirs. (96 minutes)
