TKC: “What are you doing during the holiday break?”

“I’m looking forward to Christmas Break,” Donald, Keysor Elementary crossing guard, said. “We’re going to Colorado to visit my sister who I haven’t seen in quite a few years. I haven’t been to Colorado since I was a teenager, so I’m looking forward to that. The last time I went, we went to an old mining town and we got to explore old abandoned mines. It was really neat, but I haven’t been back since.”

TKC: “What is your favorite part of the Kirkwood Community?”

“I live about 45 minutes away and one thing that stands out to me about Kirkwood is the small shops,” Kristen, McArthur’s Bakery employee, said. “You really don’t find small communities like this anymore.”

TKC: “What is your favorite part of your job?”

“This is my first year being a librarian and I like being able to help people individually, and making people happy,” Janet Mees-Reinert, library media specialist, said. “I love digging into stuff and finding out new things. I’ve always loved to read, and that’s part of what attracted me to being a librarian.”
