On Wednesday, Nov. 29, the Kirkwood Wrestling team had their first match of the season, where they wrestled Kirkwood vs. Kirkwood. The wrestlers went up against each other and rookies were able to learn how their official matches would go. Both the wrestlers and the crowd had a wonderful time at the match. Thomas Vandagriff, sophomore, talks about his experience in the crowd watching his friends and his sister Carolyn Vandagriff, freshman.
“My sister Carolyn just started wrestling [this year] and I really wanted to see her wrestle,” Vandagriff said. “It was really good to see not only my sister but a lot of my friends wrestle because they have talked about [wrestling] a lot, and it was really cool for me to see.”
