Sam Page protest VoKs

Student-athletes and St. Louis County community members held a peaceful protest outside County Executive Sam Page’s house Sunday, Sept. 13. The almost 200 attendees from Kirkwood, Lindbergh, Ladue and other county schools were protesting Page’s decision to reaffirm a prohibition on athletes 14 years and older from participating in athletic competitions of high and moderate contact. Some protesters hoped to see Page reverse his decision and allow high school students to still have a fall sports season. Others wanted Page to be removed from office.
