Ian Keller, senior, designed the metal Pioneer Pete cutout April 2011. The cutout was mounted onto the Essex entrance hallway this October. Mike Wade, assistant principal, and Jeff Townsend, athletic director, were fans of his work, and asked Keller to make a second cutout to place in the Denver Miller gym. Keller came up with this design in hopes of having his work credited in the school. A plaque with Keller’s name will soon be placed under both cutouts within the next few weeks.
