The Lindgate Manor Swim Club

If you slow down on Lindemann Road, you won’t miss it. A parade of little flip-flops marching down the tree-lined lanes, towels in tow and white sunscreen speckles still on faces. Once Memorial Day comes around, the neighborhood bustles with life at its focal point: Lindgate. The club features one small, fenced-in pool with a diving board, as well a volleyball area, a grill and picnic tables. Music often fills the summer air and snacks from home are allowed. But past the pleasantries, Lindgate has some setbacks. For starters, the Swim Club is members only and for a hefty price of $845 a year per family. On top of that, guests still pay $7 at check-in and must be with a member. Although pizza boxes and Chick-fil-A bags are welcome, that is out of necessity: Lindgate does not have concessions. The quieter corner is perfect for a relaxed summer evening, but if you are searching for a modernized summer habitat, Lindgate might not be a suitable choice for guests.
