They did what?

“My very first job was my sophomore year in high school, and I was the Easter Bunny at Chesterfield Mall,” Jeff Gutjahr, math teacher, said. “I was scheduled to work a few days over my Spring Break but could only stand one, four-hour shift before retiring the ol’ bunny suit.  It was crushing not to continue as I had aspirations of one day advancing to Santa Claus status.”

Gutjahr worked the job with a friend and they decided to split the four hours spent in the costume. However, after his time as the bunny, he had to stay in character because he was too much of a sweaty mess to come out. The job proved to be risky and dangerous, but not for Gutjahr.

“I tripped three kids, two on accident and one on purpose,” Gutjahr said. “He kept looking into the mouth of the costume and was ruining the experience for the other kids, but most importantly, for me.”
