In an after school ceremony March 2, Nancy Grimes, art teacher, was named KHS Teacher of the Year.
Current Missouri State Teacher of the year Bob Becker, science teacher, announced the selection and said Grimes was chosen by a committee for her passion and dedication. Grimes started AP Art at KHS, serves as art department chair, sponsors the National Art Honors Society and serves as an AP reader.
Grimes accepted the award with tears. Her husband, son and three friends were present to watch her receive the award.
