Bess gets published

Alex Bess, freshman, visited Robinson Elementary Wed. March 9 in the library to talk to fifth and fourth graders about her published book, The Scrapper. Bess wrote the book in her REACH class, for gifted students, at Nipher Middle School first as a project, but it is now published by KidPub Press.

“When I first heard I was getting published, it was really exciting. That’s the best word I could put for it,” Bess said.

Bess also visited Nipher Middle School March 15 to talk to students about being a published author and answer questions.

“There’s a lot of attention and I’m not sure how to deal with yet,” Bess said. “It really just jumps at you,”

Bess also donated a signed copy to the Robinson library and signed copies of her book. The Scrapper is available on Amazon for purchase.
