“We wish them luck. Congrats to all of them,” Jeff Townsend, KHS athletic director, said.
Townsend’s sendoff was one of many well wishes given to KHS seniors when they were honored for academic and athletic scholarships at the signing held in the Varsity gym Wed. April 13.
“It’s a great day for Kirkwood High School. They just saved their parents a lot of money. It rewards the kids for doing the right thing. I love this,” David Holley, principal, said.
There are 20 students who have received more than half of their tuition in scholarships.
