The dates of both Kirkwood’s prom and graduation have been moved. Prom will now be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at its traditional location, the Union Station Marriott, and graduation will be Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Chaifetz Arena.
According to administrators, this decision was made in order to move the graduation ceremony to a weekend other than Memorial Day weekend.
The last day of school for seniors will remain May 16, 2012. AP testing will be held the weeks of May 7-17.

I completely agree. That whole entire week would stress me out waay too much and I wouldn’t even enjoy prom on the weekend. We already lost our after grad party, so why should OUR senior prom be ruined for us? not cool bro..

This is total bull!! Why is it that we have prom the same week as finals they really need to think things through. That means we have a test on friday and then saturday we spend the whole day getting ready for prom, and then we won’t get home until the next day, and then they want us to still be able to have time to study for finals!!! What are they thinking honestly? no way will I be studying for my finals for monday, I’ve been waiting for prom and I just don’t think its very fair that i now have to mix my prom night with studying…
