KHS prepares to host Special Olympics

KHS+prepares+to+host+Special+Olympics

The Special Olympics competitions will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27 in the Denver
Miller Gym and Dr. David Holley Assembly Hall. The opening ceremony
will start at 10:15 and go until around 10:50 a.m. The games will
begin after, and go until around 1 p.m. Tom Gaither-Ganim,
counselor, said 50 teams representing 19 schools will be
participating in various basketball events.

“We will also have some games with the high school buddies
that are new this year,” Gaither-Ganim said. “They will be actually playing
with the athletes.”
