John McCain died August 25th, 2018. He served in the armed forces for 23 years, and was a POW during the Vietnam War. McCain also served as Senator of Arizona from January 1987 until his death in 2018. He had previously served in the House of Representative for two terms and was the Republican Presidential nominee in 2008, losing to Obama.
