Welcome to the 2011-12 school year and another edition of The Kirkwood Call.
In spirit of the “Welcome to the WOODstock” first day of school senior theme, we added psychedelic art to our mast.
With a staff of nearly 50 writers, photographers and artists, we are continuing to expand the role our publication plays in giving you the stories and information you need.
You’ve probably heard media is changing. That’s why online at thekirkwoodcall.com, you will see breaking news, videos, interactive media and a cleaner, more organized look. As the journalism world shifts to a greater online presence, we too are working to expand our duty as a school publication by providing access to The Call via smartphone, computer and, of course, our 20-page print edition that will be coming to you every three weeks.
All we need from you is your continued loyalty. You have stuck with us this long, and now we need you, the readers, to go online and see what we have for you there. Interact with us on Twitter (@TheKirkwoodCall), visit our website and “like” us on Facebook, and we at The Kirkwood Call will be able to serve you even better than we ever have before.
Sincerely,
Emily Goyda & Joe Weber
