On Monday, 01-30-2012, at 1:41 p.m. a resident from Jefferson County, MO
reported her credit cards that were stolen in a burglary were used at a retail
business and eatery in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. The suspect
in the burglary was in custody at the Jefferson County jail. Detectives are
investigating.

On Monday, 01-30-2012, at 2:34 p.m. a resident form the 1000 block of Pinegate
reported a theft to police. A purse left in the vehicle was stolen during the
overnight hours.

On Monday, 01-30-2012, at 11:26 p.m. officers stopped a motorist for a
traffic violation near the intersection of South Kirkwood Road and Big Bend.
Investigation led to the arrest of the adult driver after they were found to be
driving under the influence of alcohol.

On Friday, 02-03-2012, at 3:14 a.m. police were dispatched to investigate a
motorist slumped at the wheel of a motor vehicle at the intersection of I-44
and South Kirkwood Road. Officers located an adult who was sleeping. He was
awakened and found to under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for
driving under the influence of alcohol.

On Friday, 02-03-2012, at 9:07 p.m. officers were summoned to the 400 block
of South Kirkwood Road for a report of destruction of property. An employee of
a business reported a rock thrown through a window on his vehicle. Nothing was
stolen from the vehicle.

On Saturday, 02-04-2012, at 7:50 a.m. three separate vehicle break-ins were
reported at a business in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. All occurred
during the overnight hours and each vehicle had a door lock damaged to allow
the thieves entry to the vehicles. Electronics, cash and stereo equipment were
stolen.

During the week of Monday, 01-29-2012, through Sunday, 02-05-2012,
Kirkwood Police arrested four adults for shoplifting merchandise from area

businesses. Three of the incidents occurred at businesses in the 1200 block
of South Kirkwood Road and the fourth occurred in the 1000 block of South
Kirkwood Road. One of the subjects was charged with a felony due to the total
value of the items stolen was over $500. The same subject was also wanted
through the State of Illinois for a parole violation.
