On Monday, 01-07-2013, at 2:51 p.m. police were summoned to the 500 block of
South Elliott for a report of theft. The victim reported having a small amount of
change stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
On Thursday, 01-10-2013, at 11:43 a.m. a resident from the 100 block of Brent
in Oakland reported property damage to police. A vehicle at the residence had a
windshield broken sometime during the previous weekend.
On Saturday, 01-12-2013, at 3:52 a.m. officers were dispatched to a motor
vehicle accident near the intersection of Lindeman and Lynkirk. An SUV left the
roadway and first struck a street sign and then a tree. The driver was uninjured.
On Saturday, 01-12-2013, at 4:05 p.m. police responded to a business in the
11100 block of Manchester for a theft report. An employee of the business had a
wallet containing credit and debit cards stolen from her purse while working. The
employee discovered the theft after discovering her wallet missing and reviewing
surveillance video at the business.
Between Monday, 01-07-2013, and Sunday, 01-13-2013, Kirkwood Police
handled five separate incidents related to shoplifting. All of the incidents were at
the same retail store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. Five adults were
arrested. One of the five had drug paraphernalia in her possession at the time of
her arrest and another was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics.
