Police Beat: 4/8-4/14

On Monday, 04-08-2013 at 8:00 pm police took a report of property damage
to a vehicle in the 300 block of W Rosehill. Resident advised they found several
screws in the tires of their vehicle causing damage to same.

On Wednesday, 04-10-2013 at 4:31 pm police took a report of identity theft from
a victim who resides in the 700 block of Lockett LN. Residence advised when
she attempted to file this year tax return at a local tax office it was determined
unknown persons had already filed a return under the residence social security
number.

On Thursday, 04-11-2013 at 10:02 am police responded to the 1000 block of
Cedargate for a report of a stolen vehicle. Resident stated he parked his 2001
white Ford Crown Victoria last night around 10:00 pm and noticed the vehicle
missing this morning.

On Thursday, 04-11-2013 at 6:06 pm police took a report of identity theft from
a resident in the 800 block of Brookcreek. Resident advised an unknown person
had filed an income tax return under the resident’s social security number.

On Saturday, 04-13-2013 at 9:00 pm police responded to the parking lot of a
business in the 10200 block of Manchester. An employee advised her car door
and lock were pried open and taken from the vehicle were assorted CD’s and a
rosary.

On Sunday, 04-14-2013 at 00:53 am police took a report of a larceny from a
business in the 10400 block of Manchester. Suspect was later located at 03:34
am and was charged with stealing, minor in possession of alcohol.

On Sunday, 04-14-2013 at 03:28am police recovered a bicycle lying on the
sidewalk in the area of Orleans and Alsobrook. Bicycle was brought to the police
station for owner to pick up.

From Monday, 04-08-2013, through Sunday, 04-14-2013, Kirkwood Police took
an additional nineteen reports of identity-theft related to the Schnucks grocery
chain credit and debit card security breach. All of the incidents involved the
victim’s credit card accounts being used in other states for purchases of various
amounts.

Kirkwood Police arrested six adults for shoplifting merchandise from area
businesses during the week of Monday, 04-08-2013, through Sunday, 04-14-
2013. The incidents occurred at retail stores in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood
Road.
