Kameron Richardson, senior, chest bumps his teammate who just scored a touchdown.

Although all sports have ended, KHS athletics did not disappoint in awards and achievements earned from their seasons. Here’s a recap of individual and group awards given to KHS fall sports teams:

 

BOYS’ CROSS COUNTRY

 

Boys’ cross country finished their season as the Suburban Conference Champions. They finished fourth at districts, qualifying for a spot at the state cross country meet where they finished eleventh as a team.

 

All-Conference Medalists: Levi Rowan, Andrew Hickman, Steven Aguilar, Joey Harrison

 

All-District Medalists: Levi Rowan, Steven Aguilar, Andrew Hickman, Peyton Ferkel

 

GIRLS’ CROSS COUNTRY:

 

The Girls’ cross country team finished the season qualifying for the state cross country meet where they finished ninth as a team. Josie Baker, junior, was the team’s highest finisher, earning sixth overall at State.

 

FIELD HOCKEY(13-4-4)

 

The KHS field hockey team finished second in their conference and made it to the semifinals for districts. The team had the best overall record out of KHS fall sports, going 13-4-4.

FOOTBALL (7-4)

Senior running back Deion Brown holds numerous school records including most rushing touchdowns in a single game (7), most rushing yards in a single game (352), most points scored in a single season (162) and most touchdowns in a single season (27). He is also the all-time leading rusher with 2,771 career rushing yards and single-season rushing leader with 1,690 yards.

Second Team All-Conference: Evan Squires and Diego Cabrera

 

SOFTBALL (10-17)

The softball team ended their season as the Class Four District Tournament runner-ups.

Second Team All-Conference: Allie Friar, Ella Santacruz, Madison Johnson and Zoey Daniels

 

First Team All-District: Zoey Daniels, Madison Johnson, Maddie Hickman, Allie Friar and Ella Santacruz

BOYS’ SWIM/DIVE (7-0 DUAL MEETS)

The boys’ swim & dive team ended their season as conference champions and finished third overall at the state meet. The boys broke all three relay school records in the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard free relay and 400-yard free relay.

GIRLS’ TENNIS (9-7)

Hadley Allaria and Courtney McCracken placed 3rd as Doubles in the district tournament.
