Senior cheerleaders were asked what Turkey Day means to them. This is what they said:
“Turkey Day has always been one of my favorite events, even when I wasn’t a cheerleader. It’s a huge event for the school and community. Knowing that, it gives me a rush of excitement that I don’t feel anywhere else when I step on the field.”
“Turkey Day is important to me because it is a unique tradition at our school and the pep rally is a sort of last hurrah for the seniors. Knowing it is coming to an end makes me sad, but I am excited to perform.”
“Turkey Day is kind of sad because it’s one moment when all of us are together and we go up against our rivals. My favorite part of Turkey Day is when we have the pep rally. We have so much fun and all of us get crazy before the game.”
