The NFL Draft is now just 20 days away. The Rams have two picks this year, the #16 and #22. The #22 came from the Redskins in a blockbuster trade for our #2 overall pick last year. This allowed them to draft RGIII. Anyways, we have two first rounders which puts us in an incredible position to build our already young team even more. Considering we went 2-14 just two years ago, we actually have few draft needs.
We need to take a receiver in the first round. After losing Amendola and Gibson, we are left with only three receivers on our roster. That’s not even enough to play one game. Safety is also a very pressing need for us. After letting Craig Dahl walk and cutting Quintin Mikell, Rodney McLeod is at the top of our depth chart. If we can somehow resign Mikell it would ease our troubles a bit, but we are weak at safety. At running back, we lost our very own legend, Steven Jackson. Drafting another in the first round though might not be the greatest idea though as we drafted two last year, including Pead in the first round. Besides those gaping holes we can definitely use an outside linebacker and maybe another offensive guard. Below is a list of prospects that I would consider watching in the next 20 days.
Tavon Austin WR
Eddie Lacy RB
Kyle Long OG (Probably not first round but I threw him in anyways. COLLECT THE LONGS)
Jarvis Jones OLB
Keenen Allen WR
