Senior bucket list

A bucket list is a relatively new concept which cemented itself in pop-culture after the release of a 2008 movie starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, usually applied to living out long-held desires before “kicking the bucket.” But it also pertains to KHS seniors who would like to have certain experiences before they cross the graduation stage; things they would like to do — for either the first or last time — before their official induction into adulthood.

Michael Gavin, senior principal, acknowledged that certain events during the summer have promoted such aspirations.

“The class [of 2013] is super-driven and engaged in lots of different things,” he said. “Sometimes living life to the fullest involves academics or athletics or clubs, but other times it involves connecting with your family or your friends or yourself.”

Below are some of the things on the class of 2013’s “senior bucket list” (submitted via Twitter using #callbucketlist).
