KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous; not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.

Only three days since the release of the video on Youtube, KONY 2012 has already generated over 40 million views and countless responses on twitter. KHS students have also responded to the emotional video, in an attempt to help in the cause.

I was shocked at how quickly people have responded to this. The film is very touching and heartbreaking, it’s also very sick to think this is really happening.Kony has completely blown up my Facebook news feed, followed by random pix of girls doing duck faces in the bathroom. I wish there was more we could do more than just make a Facebook status about horrible Kony is, ok, we get he’s a bad guy. Believe me when I say, my heart and prayers go out to all the families who have been affected by his cruelty, but making a status about how we need to stop him isn’t going to fix anything.
