Police Beat: 12/14-12/20

On Tuesday, December 15, 2015, officers handled a larceny from a vehicle report in the 10300 block of Manchester. The victim’s window on her vehicle had been broken and her purse was stolen from the back floorboard.

 

On Tuesday, December 15, 2015, police responded to the 800 block of West Essex for a destruction of property report. The wiring to outdoor Christmas lights was cut.

 

On Wednesday, December 16, 2015, police were notified of a larceny of a construction trailer from the 600 block of North Harrison. The trailer had construction tools inside when it was stolen.

 

On Thursday, December 17, 2015, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Simmons for a residential burglary. The victim’s purse was stolen from a table inside the residence sometime overnight. There was nothing else missing from the residence. The side door to the residence was found ajar.

 

On Saturday, December 19, 2015, police were dispatched to a disturbance in the area of Craig Drive and Kinyon Court. Three suspects were located in the area and appeared to be intoxicated. The suspects were arrested for minor in possession of intoxicating liquor. The cases were referred to Municipal Court.

 

On Sunday, December 20, 2015, a resident from the 12000 block of Old Big Bend reported a theft to police. A bicycle was stolen from the laundry room of the building.

 

Kirkwood Police arrested six adults for shoplifting merchandise from Kirkwood area businesses located in the 1000 and 1200 block of Kirkwood Road along with the 100 block of East Jefferson during the week of Monday, 12-14-2015, through Sunday, 12-20-2015. Two of the suspects arrested were charged with felony stealing because of previous history of stealing charges. Those cases were referred to the St Louis County Prosecutors Office for review. The other stealing cases were referred to Municipal Court.
