Spice up the school day with Chartwells

With new changes in the cafeteria this semester, students will have the opportunity to receive more food with their meals. The food that is currently in the cafeteria will not be leaving KHS, but the sizes of the meals will be increased.

The cafeteria, which formerly only served five entrees for lunch and three entrees for breakfast, will be increasing the number of entrees available. The lunch will now include six entrees and the breakfast will now include four entrees.

According to Jeannie Motley, cafeteria crew leader with this new program, called “The Morning Max” and “The Lunch Max,” will allow students to have these options at no extra cost. There will be no changes to the menu Motley said.

“It (the new program) has got to increase the calorie intake, so they don’t think the kids are getting enough nutrition,” Motley said.
