*These are in no specific order as people’s minds work differently. For example, some people like to study at Kaldi’s, while other people might like studying at home better.
-The Kirkwood Public Library: This is a great place to study. They have a lot of books along with an array of free computers. Plus, it’s always quiet.
-Your house: This can be good for people who like to study while still being in the comfort of your own home. I can’t explain it any better than that.
-Coffee house: Some people find the setting of a bustling coffee house with smooth jazz in the background a soothing place to focus on their work. Who wouldn’t want study next to a muffin and piping hot coffee?
-The park: When the weather is nice, there is no place better than a secluded park bench to look over your history notes. The fresh air stimulates the senses.
-McDonald’s: Many would be surprised that this made the list, but on a quiet day, one can sit in a booth and get work done. The soda fountain also gives free refills, so as long as you stay, you get unlimited soda.
-Kirkwood High School Library: During IP, lunch, or after school. Many people meet here every day to study and finish up homework anyways, so it must be a good place to study. Access to computers.
-Barnes and Noble Bookstore: Has a very gentle environment, a cafe, access to books, and tables to study on. If you find yourself getting too stressed out by your impending finals, one could just walk out the door and take a stroll around the mall.
-Kaldi’s at Schnucks: This gives the same feel of a coffee house, in addition to the fact that if you literally in a grocery store and have access to all of the food in there.
-Bread Company: Access to very decent coffee, pastries, and sandwich’s, along with a source of WiFi, this is a great place to park yourself with a laptop for hours.
-Farmer’s Market: Mainly used during the spring finals, the tables and outdoor environment make for a great study spot on a nice day. Snowcones are an added bonus.
